A scientist named Villupuram Veeramuthuvel from Tamil Nadu served as the director of this project.

Veeramuthuvel from Villupuram was appointed as the director of Chandrayaan-3 project on 9th December 2019.

veeramuthuvel was born in 1978, the son of retired railway employee Palanivel.

He completed his early education at Villupuram Railway School. He then studied at Polytechnic and graduated from Sairam College of Engineering, Chennai.

Graduated with Masters in Engineering from REC College, Trichy. He has been working as a scientist in ISRO since 2004.

Veeramuthuvel also played an important role in the Chandrayaan 2 project, when Weeramuthuvel was completely responsible for the project's coordination with NASA.
In 2016, Veeramuthuvel. Presented his paper on effective method of vibration control in spacecraft electronic package.

UR, Bangalore regarding his dissertation. The test was conducted at Rao Satellite Centre.It was said that the technology he discovered would help land a lander on the moon and operate a rover.
Thus the technology was appreciated by all. This is what made Veeramuthuvel the Chandrayaan 3 Program Director in 2019.

Veeramuthuvel also played an important role in the Chandrayaan 2 project, when Veeramuthuvel was completely responsible for the project's coordination with NASA.

In this case, after the successful launch of Chandrayaan 3 under his supervision, Chandrayaan 3 is on its way to the moon as planned.Veeramuthuvel expressed happiness that it has been done.
The students of Villupuram Railway School, where he completed his schooling, said that scientist Veeramuthuvel is a role model and
 mentor for them.

Tamils ​​have already been project directors in Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2.

Following this, the participation of Veeramuthuvel from Tamil Nadu in the Chandrayaan-3 project has added pride among Tamils.
With the success of this project, India became the first country to land on the South Pole of the Moon.
